Put the last 2 seams in a dress that has dragged on too long…one of those, that as I was trying on for fitting purposes, realized I probably wasn’t gonna be happy with as it is just too sheer😏
Made another batch of Farmers Cereal. I’ve been adding cornflakes, coconut powder (something that’s readily available here, that I use for a coconut flake substitute), and coarsely broken Milk Marie crackers (which are kind of like a Graham cracker). A simple, quick granola that we’ve been enjoying😌
Annslie continues her daily enjoyment, catching frogs while outside and geckos when she’s inside.. while the rest of the family tries to convince her to let them go or throw them in the toilet.. her sisters and mom are quite horrified and make her wash her hands after each known encounter.. Jaira, “Mom, I saw that frog pee on her!🙄 and Annslie’s trying to bring it inside!” And now while holding a small gecko Annslie says, “It wants to go(as in get away🙃)”. They are not very hardy? creatures, and are usually more dead than alive when she finally lets go😏 Those around her do use her love of these creatures to their advantage sometimes. While washing hair and needing her to look up to keep the soap and water out of her eyes, “Is there a gecko on the ceiling?” And anytime a distraction is needed, “Let’s find a gecko” or if we’re outside, a frog. And if her daddy lifts her to catch one high on the wall, it’s instant smiles😁 Oh, and while we’re on the subject😜 last Fri. at the Chakrakhali Sun. School where we have some older boys and girls attending, at one point a very small gecko was suddenly discovered on the floor right next to a 14 yr old girl. She shrieked, the little creature was quickly given a nicely cleared space in the cramped quarters and those nearby quickly tried to sweep it away under the metal wall… Annslie was soon over there to investigate and try to catch it😂
