Lonnie had spent awhile with Gentry in the night, cutting up an onion for him to breathe to hopefully help with the junk in his chest. We’d rubbed “Unkers” salve on his back and feet before we put him to bed..
In the morning, was the 1st day of this truly glorious weather! Turned off A.C.s and fans and opened windows🍁🤩 a most lovely breeze made the curtains do their own happy dance. We lit a fall scented candle. Perked some coffee.☕️ Threw our big, wooden, double front doors wide open.. and reveled in the glory of the day☺️
After breakfast was cleaned up we all headed into Khulna City to get groceries at Safe n Save and Day-7 and stop for more fruit along the street…Some large, very round , shiny green, seedless, sweet grapes from Thailand and mangos from Rajshahi, mandarins, oranges, and bananas,.. Dominos Pizza for lunch.
The girls helped get all the veggies, fruit, eggs, soaked/washed and the laundry hung out.
Heated leftover biryani up for supper.
The girls spent quite a bit of time playing just outside the gate. It made this mama a bit nervous so I asked Tulshi about it. He said, “bhalo na” (not good) short time, ok. Long time, not. We have quite a busy, narrow, paved road that runs right past our gate. Motorcycles, rickshaws, truck like contraptions😅 carrying loads, pedestrians, cows, dogs,….. some of the auto rickshaws and motorcycles really whiz by just 2 ft from our gate and Tulshi mentioned that many men come by and are watching… the warning words of caution were passed on to the girls..
