Lonnie’s sister Tina sent rennet and a Brazilian cheese recipe with a family from their cong that visited over Christmas. Our guard, Tulshi rounded up the milk for us over 2 days and today Lonnie made a half batch trial recipe. 1 gal of raw milk made 1 lb of cheese. It was a success😋
We also made a 13 lb batch of sausage. Btw, if you ever wonder about all our sausage making… We share it with the other 2 families on the field. We buy as much boneless skinless pork every Tues. that they’ll sell us. And then every other week we make up however much we were able to get a hold of. This week we were able to buy 5 kg so we kept 2 chunks to make pulled pork with.
