At Choygoria S.S. one of the 10? yr old boys has been cutting up worse every week. This Fri it was especially disruptive so Lonnie had him spend some time on a chair in front of the class. He was good as gold the rest of the morning. But my girls wonder if he will come next Fri after being punished.?. We had a women asking for medical funding for her dislocated elbow join our class while she waited to talk to Brother.
3:00 Doctrine class
4:00 service
Sitting in church, I observed a small group of Muslim men walking on the road viewable from the church window. Their full ankle length robes and prayer caps at this time of the day, at this part of the village set off alarm bells in my mind but I dismissed them and concentrated on the service again. As Kobid was having opening Lonnie was all sudden inviting some folks that were looking in the windows to come in and sit down. And it was those same fully garbed Muslim men I’d seen walking past the window earlier😳 💭 “what in the world are these men doing in our service!?!” I was so nervous! When it was time to pray, they took their leave. 😌 Lonnie told me later, that those were his friends from the tea stall he frequents.🙃
Shotti’s dad was at church but Shotti didn’t come because of a headache and Antoor didn't come again either.
Walking home from church, we passed Nee-tie at the chicken dhokan and he said he wanted to bring some food tonight.. today is one of their Hindu special days and they were cooking.. we had some of Miss Christina’s choc chip cookie bars while we waited. His wife showed up with not 1 but 2! bowls of kichuri. Most of us tried a little but it didn’t land anywhere close to the ranks of best kichuri we’ve had in this country🫣 Our maid was very happy to receive the 2 gal ziplock bags of the rice, lentil, and meat dish a couple days later🤫
We spent a rousing evening playing The Farming Game. It was a whole house effort to keep the littles happy and occupied while we took turns farming, but we managed a good 4+ hrs of it😅
