We opted to have school today since we’ll be gone to Dhaka for 3 days this week for my 36 wk appt.
Lonnie bought the local dim n ruti for breakfast this morning.. It’s fine, but we prefer what we can find in Chakrakhali..
He met with our business interpreter, Bobby, in Khulna today. The owner of the house we live in is divorced and ownership of the place is still a squabble. The father of the divorced man came by last Friday putting his 2 bits in and letting us know that it will be going to court about who is the rightful owner here in a month or so.. we would like to continue living here and just need to know who to pay rent money to..
Lonnie wasn’t home for lunch and I fried up the pancakes I’d mixed up this morning before I realized he was going for dim n ruti (just a little breech in communications🙃) whipped some “cream”, made syrup, and opened a can of pie filling. Don’t believe I’ve ever made pancakes for lunch before… 1st time for everything😅
Laundry
The girls worked on a pile of dishes that had accumulated for too long
Lonnie played a game of Carrom with Pim. He only wanted Lonnie to speak English. If Lonnie accidentally slipped a Bangla word in he’d tell him to say it in English!
Enchilada supper
Miss Christina played outside with the girls till shower time. Pim brought them all a little garbanzo bean cup with diced cucumbers on top that are available at the little food stand up the way. He’s pretty sure Miss Christina could help him learn English better.🙃His request for her phone number was turned down. I guess Annslie’s got some competition for attention from the natives now🙃
