Later she returned with a couple men. One of them being from the local power company. She has instructed them to put a larger transmitter to this location. When the current system was put in place it was based on a certain amount of electricity being used. Since then, 3 more A.C.s have been installed in this house pulling more of a load than had been planned for.. maybe the cause of excessive power outages recently. They’re planning to have the new installation by middle of July. So we’re s’pose to use less A.C.s till then. Which hasn’t been as much of a problem as our teacher soon went for another stay in Dhaka and the girls have been using the bedroom on the main floor this summer. Plus Monsoon Season has arrived with some spells of not such extreme heat
We went for a little outing to the river this evening. A new stretch of the river for us. We parked at the same place as where we’d gone with everybody after Fellowship, but this evening we walked on down along the river a ways. Definitely a local attraction with dokans here and there selling food and drink. People lined along the bank or down by the waters edge taking pictures with folks up top videoing those below! Rather appalling as I don’t believe the people below knew they were being videoed.?. 🤔
Lonnie stopped and helped a man who was working on his easy bike. We spent that time nearby at the river’s edge.
Back at point A we watched the moon come up over the river as the night arrived. Of course a crowd gathered around us. All beckoning “Asho, Asho” to Gentry as they all wanted to hold him. They were declined but gathered Very near, visiting and getting Gentry to play with them from my arms.
